Young people are the hope and the spearhead of the Church which will be able to continue the work of the Church in today's society. Writing this essay stands from pastoral workers problems that related to the development of young people in this era of globalization So, in addition to the problem and the purpose of this writing that has been described, some underlying theories of this work are also assessed. These theories are certainly related to the development of young people in the age of globalization that aims to help young people to be more mature in life and faith and become more involved in the Church society.

In order to analyze the problem of this research, the writer uses qualitative research with data collection techniques using literature study, observation and interviews. The data obtained were analyzed using data analysis techniques in qualitative research methods.

The results showed that the majority of pastoral workers are not actively involved in developing young people in this era of globalization. They are caused by occupational factors, economic, age, parental support and pastoral distance or terrain. In addition, there are still young people who have not been found to be involved in the Church society because of the lack of support of parents and busy working. Thus, through the results of this study should be able to give encouragement to the pastoral workers in developing youth and revine the parent about the importance of faith development of their children.
